Grayshott eGuide

The first iPhone version of the Grayshott e-Guide app has been submitted to the iTunes App Store for approval prior to its official release. All the data is test data; some was picked up from old directories and may be out of date; it's planned to improve the data in the next few weeks.

The award winning village of Grayshott nestles amidst beautiful National Trust countryside on the North-East Hampshire/Surrey border. It's a great place to live, work and have fun. It’s also a wonderful place to visit, with a traditional village pub, renowned pottery, lots of shops and restaurants, monthly market, free parking, and plenty of interesting things to see and do.

This app is an electronic guide to the entertainment, businesses and services that make Grayshott such a good place to be in. It's been built as a replacement for the previous paper-based guides published by Business In Grayshott (BIG) and as a companion to the Grayshott Living publication launched in May 2014.

The iPhone app offers integration with social media, web mapping and telephone functions. It's a first release and the underlying data is being refined and improved with BIG. Please be patient if something isn't working yet, and if you think something could be improved, please give us feedback using the support e-mail address.

For Android and Windows phone users, there's a web app at egrayshott.uk that can be downloaded and saved to the home page of any smart phone, or bookmarked on PCs or Macs.

Here are some sample views of the app, showing a categorised list, an A-Z page search, a detail page, and the news feed from Grayshott.com.
The detail page gives the facility to save an entry as a favourite, phone or visit the web site, see a map, or look at opening hours if these are registered. If the business has any special offers logged on the system, these are highlighted.
